Cool Short Hairstyle With Definition & Contrast
We adore this short and cascading shape. Cut short through the sides, the top is lengthy with lots of texture and movement. This creates versatility. The model could push it back, sweep to either side, spike up, or slick down. A classic wash and wear style for a girl about town. We love the shiny raven color touch too. Striking and reflective, it offers the perfect contrast to pale skin. For tips and tricks for styling similar shapes see below.
...
Step: Maintain the vibrancy of vivid hues with color save shampoo and conditioner - we recommend KMS color vitality.
Step: Use KEVIN MURPHY HAIR RESORT SPRAY for a shiny and lustrous natural-looking texture. Work through hair and blowdry with hands. Use the wraparound technique –– push hair round and round scalp in both directions, while applying heat –– to create volume and movement.
Step: Add light dabs of KEVIN MURPHY NIGHT RIDER along mid-lengths and ends to create definition, texture, and contrast.

Sending Shockwaves To Chanel, Kiera Knightley’s Tousled Bob
Concerned by the “overtly sexual” nature of Chanel’s new fragrance ad, prim parents in the UK got the Advertising Standards Authority to ban the commercial from running during children’s programming. Such a shame because they are missing Kiera’s gorgeous, vintage bob. With a whimsical, lightweight, flouncy feel it’s been cut to the nape to build structure and elevation, which heightens the impression of volume. We love how the softly tousled side-sweep drifts elegantly across her eye line, while the length, draped off her sculpted cheekbones, is perfectly placed to frame her pretty face. For tips to creating your own version of the Kiera’s look:
Step: Ask your stylist for a modern interpretation of a vintage bob. Go for a side-swept fringe to draw attention to eyes; get layers to keep it soft and bouncy; and have it hang off the cheekbones for the perfect face frame. If you don’t think your cheekbones can handle the attention, wear it longer. Chin length also works well.
Step: For styling, apply KEVIN MURPHY BODY BUILDER at roots and KEVIN MURPHY FULL AGAIN to the mid-lengths and ends of damp hair and blowdry with LATTOUF ROUND BRISTLE BRUSH for root lift, shape and movement.
Step: Apply mid-lengths and ends with YOUNG AGAIN Now use a curling iron or wand to softly curl random pieces for a romantic, whimsical finish.
Step: Mist finished style with SESSION SPRAY SPRAY for hold and texture. Using hands, tousle into perfectly imperfect shape.

The lob has definitely been trending when it comes to celebrity looks. ‘the lob’ –– a versatile version of the bob, which is defined by length that reaches the collarbone. A lob will suit almost any face and can be worn in a variety of ways, from sleek to tousled to windswept and wild. With modern hot-tools doing their bit, this style can be recreated is ten minutes; to learn how, see below.
Step: Hair that is dry and unwashed will be best for creating Julianne’s undone, lived-in style. So, leave hair as worn, make an off-center center-part, and generously mist Kerastase Powder Bluff to create texture and refresh hair.
Step: Starting 3-4 inches off the roots, wrap small sections of hair (away from your face) around a curling iron or wand, hold each section on the tool for a a few seconds (no more than 10), then release.
Step: Rub a dime-size of texture paste into palms and rake through hair, creating separation and pieciness
Step: Pulse a few layers of dry shampoo into roots to amp up volume and add gritty texture. Using hands, tousle the finish into your favorite shape and style.

There must be something in the air over in celebrity-ville. During the last few years, we've seen everyone from Miley Cyrus to Emma Watson to Michelle Williams to Anne Hathaway snipping off luscious and long, feminine locks in favor of stronger and tougher, shorter shapes. The Perfect Bob-pixie Hybrid In 3 Steps
The perfect bob-pixie hybrid in 3 steps
It’s almost spring; and summer is just around the corner. Of course, we still have a few weeks of winter left to enjoy, but if you want a new shape for spring & summer, it’s a great time to start collecting inspiration. Whether you went short for the summer or are contemplating a chic crop this bob-pixie hybrid is the perfect choice. Length up top with short sides and back is a great transition shape whether you’re going longer or shorter. A rich caramel base with lighter lengths around the face gives a softer summer blonde.
Step 1: The sides of the cut should be kept under three inches to prevent bulkiness. A square layering technique will give leanness to the shape for a face-slimming effect. The top length can look great anywhere from cheekbone to chin, but keeping it below the corner of the mouth will allow you to cover the sides when desired for an instant bob shape that conceals the undercut.
Step 2: Kerastase Short Mania will give the shape malleable control, apply liberally when hair is damp and either air dry or gently tousle with fingers. Part deeply as shown to highlight the disconnection or part in the center for a more blended effect.
Step 3: Polish the ends and add separation with a spritz of Kerastase spray a porter pulled through the tips and smoothed over the sides.
